Dear Tequesta Trace Students, Families, and Staff,
As we begin this exciting new school year, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude. Entering my sixth year as principal of Tequesta Trace Middle School, I continue to be inspired by the energy, resilience, and commitment of our Cougar community.

Once again, our halls will be buzzing with the enthusiasm of eager learners and dedicated educators—all united by a shared pursuit of excellence. This year, we embark on another journey of growth, discovery, and achievement.

Our mission remains clear: to provide a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student feels valued, challenged, and supported. As Cougars, we will celebrate our successes, face challenges with determination, and create memories that last a lifetime.

Dear Tequesta Families,

As we begin a new school year, I am filled with gratitude and excitement to return for my second year as Assistant Principal at Tequesta Trace Middle School. 😊 It has been a true honor to grow alongside this amazing community, and I am even more inspired to continue our shared mission of supporting and empowering every student because everyone matters!

With over 13 years in education, I’ve learned that academic success is most meaningful when it is built on a strong foundation of mental and emotional well-being. This year, I remain deeply committed to prioritizing mental health, creating safe spaces, and encouraging open conversations. This year, I’m encouraging every 6th grader to Find Your One — that one staff member you feel comfortable talking to, asking questions, or just saying “hi” when you need a boost. We are here for you.

One quote that continues to guide me comes from Bob Marley:
"You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice."
Let’s teach our students that strength doesn’t always mean pushing through alone—it also means asking for help, showing kindness, and taking care of ourselves and each other.

Welcome to 7th Grade!

It is an honor to join the Tequesta Trace community as the 7th Grade Assistant Principal for the 2025–2026 school year! I am excited to work alongside such a dedicated team and to partner with families who are committed to their children’s success.

Seventh grade is a critical time of transition—academically, socially, and emotionally. It is a year where students begin to take greater ownership of their learning and lay the foundation for future goals. I am committed to ensuring every student is equipped with the support, encouragement, and structure they need to thrive both now and, in the years ahead.

With 17 years of experience in education—as a teacher, school counselor, and school leader, I bring a whole-child approach rooted in compassion, high expectations, and a deep belief in each student’s potential. My goal is to help create an environment where students feel empowered, challenged, and inspired to reach their fullest potential.

I look forward to a purposeful and productive year at the Trace, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve this incredible community.

Dear TTMS Family,

Welcome back to another exciting school year! As your Assistant Principal, I’m thrilled to continue serving this incredible school community—a place I’ve proudly called home for the past several years.

With over 25 years in education, I remain deeply committed to supporting our students as they grow academically, socially, and emotionally. It has been a true privilege to watch so many of our young learners develop into confident, capable individuals, and I look forward to building on that progress in the year ahead.

As the inspirational educator Rita Pierson once said: "Every child deserves a champion—an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be."
Let us continue to be those champions for every student who walks through our doors. I am excited for what this year holds and confident that, together, we will make it our best yet.
