Tequesta Trace Middle School Art Club is for those students who have a desire to expand their creative horizons. It gives students an opportunity to extend their knowledge and experience within the arts, and learn additional techniques while serving as a social avenue that enables students to meet others with similar interests and talents.  

This year’s ART Club will be focused on school beautification through the arts, and preparation for art competitions. We will also be holding fundraising for art supplies and possible field trips.

If you are interested in expanding your art skills outside of the classroom and love to have fun while creating, this may be the club for you.

Welcome to Tequesta Trace Middle School's Chess Club!

“As a game of strategy, chess enables players to better recognize the complexity and enhance their analytical capabilities when they analyze each move in the game. Additionally, members develop their patience and tenacity when playing the game, as they are constantly on the lookout for potential threats. Chess players need strong willpower to overcome temporary setbacks and to persevere and play to their best ability during the games. As there are more twists and turns than a roller-coaster ride in each chess game, there is never a dull moment while playing! In the process, members of Chess Club are all trained to possess strong mental strength and fine analytical skills.”(Credit: New York Chess Organization)

Tequesta Trace Middle School Chess Club plans to participate in external competitions throughout the year. Participation in competitions is entirely voluntary, and parents are responsible for all entry fees, transportation, meals, and lodging (lodging is only necessary if the competition is out of town). Information on competitions will be forthcoming.

The Tequesta Trace Middle School Chapter of Florida Educators of America is a club designed for aspiring educators and students who want to make a difference in their school and community. Students work together on service projects designed to make the school and the world a better place. Our members are in every corner of the school community and often work with Student Council, JHS, and Eco Partners.

MEMBERSHIP: Students in grades 6-8 are invited to join. Active members are those who have and maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA and demonstrate satisfactory conduct.

The chapter plans and coordinates school and community projects that will enable active members to earn service hours. The Tequesta Trace members of FFEA are invited to attend the Fall, Winter, and Spring Rallies hosted by the High School Chapters of FFEA. Transportation to the Rallies is the responsibility of each member.

The Tequesta Trace Chapter of FFEA has earned numerous awards at past County FFEA Competition Conferences.

Come and join the Math Club where you get to truly explore and display your math talents as well as compete with some of the brightest math students across the county. Our club gives you an opportunity to attempt advanced and complex math questions that will definitely challenge your math brain.

The Multicultural club is an academic club that has been established to promote diversity and cultural awareness among students at Tequesta Trace Middle School. The main goal of this club is to educate students about the importance of cultural diversity and to help them appreciate different cultures and traditions from all around the world. The club provides students with the opportunity to learn about new cultures, try new customs, dances and foods, and interact with members of different cultural or ethnic groups within a society. Through its activities, the Multicultural club aims to create a more tolerant and inclusive school community where everyone is respected and valued regardless of their cultural background.

The Spanish Speakers Dual Language Club provides a variety of exciting and challenging experiences for students of all grade levels. The club is designed to promote oral communication, written expression, vocabulary and reading comprehension skills, as well as an awareness and appreciation of the culture of the Spanish-speaking countries.  

Activities in the club will reinforce students’ communication skills, ability to express ideas, feelings, and opinions in oral and written forms. In addition, students will benefit from peer tutoring and helping each other to learn and excel in the classroom as well as the district Spanish Competition. Through the different categories (declamation, visual arts and talent) of the academic competition, students will be encouraged to demonstrate knowledge of the language and culture they are learning.

Find your voice, practice for your tournament, meet with your classmates. The Speech and Debate Team will meet to prepare for tournaments and hold special workshops for all current 7th and 8th grade students in Speech Honors and Debate Honors classes.
